PIZZA-LA
Japanese Food
Pizza-La (ピザーラ) is the highest profit earning pizza chain in Japan. There are a number of franchises of Pizza-La (ピザーラ) located in 34 of Japan's 47 prefectures.

Pizza-La (ピザーラ) slogan is "All the taste and toppings you want on a pizza, straight from our oven to your door!"

Pizza-La (ピザーラ) has a specific pizza menu for each residential area. And maybe this is what makes Pizza-La (ピザーラ) different from other pizza chain in Japan. As I browse through some of the pizza menu, this series of pizza(Quarters Series) caught my eyes. Quarters Series consists of pizza that is make up by 4 different types of pizza, each in a quarter size, making up to 1 pizza. For example, the pizza(Bomber Quarter) is make up of Teriyaki Chicken , Potatoes & shoulder bacon, Pork & Pepper and Fresh seafoods & Cherry tomato. If you are unsure of what pizza you like, you can buy this Quarters Series and try 4 different types of pizza at 1 time before you make up your mind on which pizza you like!

Just by looking at the photos of the pizzas, make one feel so hungry~

MEIJI - PUPURUN
Japanese Tibits

Today, the Japanese tibits that is on learnsimplejapanese.com's menu is Meiji's Pupurun(ぷぷるん) sweets. Pupurun(ぷぷるん
) sweets is actually jelly-like gummy sweets; looks like fruit juices wrap in a thin layer of sweet sheet. Pupurun(ぷぷるん) sweets comes in 3 flavors: Apple in red packaging, Lemon in yellow packaging and Grapes in green packaging. From the photo below, it seems that the packaging is a zip bag. So if you can't finish the whole packet, you can zip it up and keep it! That's so thoughful of the Japanese!

MEIJI - FRAN AROMATIER
Japanese Tibits

I would like to introduce to you this Japanese tibits(o-ka-shi / おかし / お菓子): Fran Aromatier by Meiji. Fran Aromatier is similar to Pocky's biscuits(bi-su-ke-tto / ビスケット) sticks that's coated with a layer of chocolate(cho-ko-re-to / チョコレート)/strawberry(i-chi-go / いちご / 苺)/etc. There are also many different series of Fran. Currently showing on the Meiji's official website is the Winter(fu-yu / 冬 / ふゆ) series: Winter(fu-yu / 冬 / ふゆ) Premium.

A different series is showed in the commercial clip that I am going to show you, and that is Fran Aromatier. Fran series of biscuits(bi-su-ke-tto / ビスケット) sticks are coated with 2 layers of coating. The first layer is the normal white(shi-ro / しろ / 白) chocolate(cho-ko-re-to / チョコレート) and covering it, the second layer, is the actual flavor. This differentiate Meiji's Fran from Pocky's. In fact, with 2 layers of coating, Meiji's Fran biscuits(bi-su-ke-tto / ビスケット) sticks are certainly thicker than Pocky's biscuits(bi-su-ke-tto / ビスケット) sticks!

It comes with a number of flavors(あじ / 味). The photo below is taken from their official site on the current flavors(あじ / 味) of Glico Pretz.  using Glico Pretz; the game(ゲーム) name(なまえ / 名前) can be "Guess the flavor(あじ / 味) of Glico Pretz!". Isn't that fun? (hahaha)

Each box comes with either 2 or 4 small packets. In the photo below, there are only 2 types of flavors(あじ / 味) that comes with 4 small packets and that is the Tomato series of Glico Pretz. The rest of the Glico Pretz on the photo below contains 2 small packets in each box.

Each box comes with 4 small packets so you can keep the rest if you can't finish all. Wooo... what a brilliant idea that the Japanese Porky people came up with. YUMMY!
