Let's learn how to read/write/say Days of the week and Months of the year in Japanese! For month, in Japanese, the word is a combination of "number + month". For example: January is Ichi-gatsu(いち ). From 11th to 31st, the counter nichi (にち / 日) is used. For example, 11th = jyuuichi nichi (じゅういちにち / 十一日), 22nd = nijyuuni nichi (にじゅうににち / 二十二日), 31st = sanjyuuichi nichi (さんじゅういちにち / 三十一日). TAKE NOTE that for 14th = jyuuyokka (じゅうよっか / 十四日), 20th = hatsuka (はつか / 二十日), 24th = nijyuuyokka (にじゅうよっか / 二十四日), 17th = jyuushichi (じゅうしち / 十七), 27th = nijyuushichi nichi (にじゅうしちにち / 二十七日) This is how you ask which date it is of the month in Japanese: Summer-san: "なんにちですか?" / "何日ですか?"
