Japanese numbers are used for counting stuff. Those without counter of their own like tables, chairs, boxes, fruit, vegetables, etc except age are to use the common counter - tsu (つ). Refer to below table and take note of 10: | 1 | ひとつ / 一つ hitotsu |

This is how you ask "How many?" Autumn-san: "なんつですか?" Autumn-san: "Nan tsu desu ka?" Autumn-san: "How many?"
